Fishing Lake Winnebago

Get Ready! Get Set! Go Fishing!!

It’s walleye time on Lake Winnebago. Grab your gear and head out on the water.

Don’t know what to use or where to go. No problem. I’m Dan Kirk, aka Captain Kirk, and I’d love to be your guide on the water. I’ll be guiding on Lake Winnebago until mid fall or even late fall depending on the weather and the bite. So give me a call, email, or text. You can even fill out my contact form on my website.

So back to fishing.

June has rushed in with a big blast of heat, jumping the water temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s. I’m sure it will actually cool off a bit before hitting that 80 degree mark. Anyway, what does that mean to you? It means the walleyes are hot and need to eat more.

With the water clarity being really good, too good. One can see bottom in 8 feet of water. It does make for a challenging daytime walleye bite, however, it can be done. And of course other species are around and will often eat throughout the day providing good rod bending action!

I’d love to get you on the water. We will drag jigs, cast jigs, or even vertical jig. I’ll bring all the fishing gear you need including live bait. I only take out one or two people so grab a friend, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, mom, dad, son, daughter, neighbor, cousin and let’s go!

Here’s my mobile # for calls or texts. I won’t always answer my phone as I can’t hear it or feel it when travel in the boat. And I do try to keep some sort of business hours. So please leave me a message.
