Fishing With Captain Kirk: 2023 Pictures & Final Stats

It’s the 2023 picture highlights. Thanks for letting me take a picture reof your awesome catch and share it on my photos page. So many people just didn’t care about pictures this year. I had a great spring on the Fox River. High waters and fast current caused problems on the Wolf, however. Winnebago has produced good fish all summer. Winnebago got a bit trickier at the end of the season but we still had fun.

The biggest client walleye of ’23 was 25 inches and it was caught in spring on the Fox River in De Pere. The biggest client fish was a 38 1/4 inch flathead catfish. Patrick fought that catfish for 15 minutes on the Wolf River. See the pics below of both giants below.

The most fish put in the boat on one day guiding with me this year was 64. The next best was 55. Lake Winnebago can really have some good action. Often catching more white drum than walleye however.

The most walleyes in the boat was 34. Spring fishing in De Pere usually wins for the most walleyes and that was the case for this year.

The average number of fish caught on an official guide trip (full or 1/2 day) with me this year was 29.5. I feel bad for the few with me on tough days but that’s fishing for you.

I’d love to get your pictures on this page. Come fishing with me soon!!

Fishing With Captain Kirk: 2022 Pictures

Thanks for joining me in 2022. I hope you can join me for 2023 again or for the first time!

Brian landed a 25 3/4 incher on Lake Winnebago for a new Winnebago record.

More walleyes over 18 inches were caught this year on Lake Winnebago than any other year.

The most fish caught in one day on Lake Winnebago was 62! That was a full day trip on July 30th with two clients. The second most was on July 16 with a half day trip pulling in 61 fish!! And this was with one client. I can only imagine how many we would have put in the boat if we fished a few more hours.

Check out some highlight pictures below.

I hope to see you in 2023!!

Fishing With Captain Kirk: 2021 Pictures

Thanks to all who joined me during the 2021 fishing season. We had some great days! My first guide trip of the season was on March 22. My last guide trip of the season was September 30th. People missed out on a good October bite!

I hope you can join me again or for the first time in 2022. I will start chasing big fat female walleyes come March on the Fox River in DePere. I’ll also be out on the Wolf River hoping for some good eaters to keep.

While targeting walleyes we’ll often come across other species. I love to have the rod bending!

The best day of catching in 2021 was July 8th with 71 fish between the 3 of us. Yowzer!

The Guiding season is usually March – November. Please dress appropriately.

Captain Kirk takes out one or two guests max. Get the attention you deserve. No crowded boat.

Below are some pictures of the 2021 season.

Fishing With Captain Kirk: 2020 Pictures

Below are some of the 2020 pictures with clients/friends.

The boat was out on March 15th! And the last day on the water was December 10th!

I put the biggest walleye ever in my boat in 2020. 32 + inches!! Unfortunately, due to Covid, I was fishing by myself. Check it out below. Want to see more of my best fish ever. Please visit my “Personal Bests” page!

The sheephead were big this year! We also put more smallies in the boat this year than in any past year. It was fun having those in the mix.

Many good eater size walleyes were caught!

The youngest fisherman to join me was 5 years old. He could cast a spinning reel!! Unfortunately the bite was off that day.

Another highlight was the 5 foot sturgeon a client fought for 13 minutes before I was able to unhook it boat side.

Thanks for joining me in 2020 and I hope to see you again in 2021.

Fishing With Captain Kirk: 2019 Pictures

Below are some of the 2019 highlights with clients/friends.

My wife got the biggest walleye of the year in the boat at 26 inches. Numerous 23’s were put in the boat.

Numerous large sheephead were caught this year. I’m grateful for the sheephead as they can keep the rod bending even when the walleyes don’t cooperate.

Thanks for joining me in 2019 and I hope to see you again in 2020.
